Asia Forging Supply Company has founded this award in hope to encourage college students to do research and make innovative uses of forging technologies, and further more to form outstanding engineers in the forging industry. Another purpose is to improve the communication between the trade and academics as well as the development of new technologies. |

All students, with a Masterˇ¦s degree within 2007 in forging from any graduate school around the world and their advising professor can apply. If their thesis is a joint work between the industry and academic field they can apply also.
The subject of the thesis must be forging related. |

(According to our government tax law, we must deduct a tax from all awards.)
Golden medal award:one person, $10,000 U.S.dollars.
Silver medal award:one person, $7,500 U.S.dollars.
Bronze medal award: one person, $5,000 U.S.dollars.
Masterpiece award:three people, $2,000 U.S.dollars each.
(The awards should be equally divided between the student and the professor)
The award will be presented at the end of December each year. All winners must attend the prize giving ceremony personally. |

All candidates need to submit a recommendation from their current departments (firm) and prepare the following documents:

1.An application form
2.A recommendation letter
3.Four copies of your thesis on paper and on disc (an electronic file in PDF format).
4.If the thesis is not written in Chinese or English, the candidate must include an abstract in English of no more than 20 pages. |

ˇ§Asia Forging Thesis Award Appraisal Committeeˇ¨ is composed of experts and professors from the forging field worldwide. There are three steps in the process. The first and second steps are to review the documents you submitted. Then the candidates who made it to the final review need to do an oral presentation and answer the committeeˇ¦s questions. |
